NDTV Saudi Bus Accident | “Hyderabad Pilgrims, Hearing Only 1 Survived”: A Owaisi On Saudi Bus Crash

Lok Sabha MP Asaduddin Owaisi on Monday said that he is inquiring about the road accident involving Indian citizens in Saudi Arabia. At least 42 people, including Indian Umrah pilgrims, are reportedly feared dead after a bus carrying them from Mecca to Medina collided with a diesel tanker near Mufrihat. Owaisi said they were from Telangana’s Hyderabad.

“Forty-two Hajj pilgrims who were travelling from Mecca to Medina were on a bus that caught fire… I spoke to Abu Mathen George, Deputy Chief of Mission (DCM) at the Indian Embassy in Riyadh, and he assured me that they are gathering information about the matter. I have contacted two Hyderabad-based travel agencies and shared the passengers’ details with the Riyadh Embassy and the Foreign Secretary,” Owaisi, who represents Hyderabad in Lok Sabha, told the news agency ANI.
