Quebec man faces terrorism charges linked to 764 extremist network

A Quebec City man has been hit with charges linked to his alleged promotion of 764, an extremist network that Canada has listed as a terrorist entity. According to RCMP, most of 26-year-old Jeffrey Roussel’s victims are teenagers with the alleged primarily using Telegram to promote and publish graphic violence and highly disturbing content as a method of recruitment.

“764 is known for its targeting and radicalization and victimization of children,” Mackenzie Hart from Simon Fraser University said.

Jillian Piper explains how Roussel is accused of trying to recruit young people online and what the FBI has said about 764.
