Israel pounds Gaza overnight, dozens killed and injured in attacks
Israeli airstrikes across Gaza City have killed at least 28 people since Thursday morning.
One attack on tents sheltering displaced Palestinians killed nine, including four children.
Strikes also hit Khan Younis and Nuseirat, where seven members of one family were killed.
In al-Nasser, tents caught fire, leaving more dead and injured. Many rushed to al-Shifa Hospital.
Al Jazeera’s Tareq Abu Azzoum reported heavy bombardment on eastern Gaza City and Deir el-Balah.
Doctors warn of a surge in casualties, with children among the majority of those killed or injured.
They say hospitals are overwhelmed as Israel shows no sign of halting its military campaign.
