Malaysia PM Anwar thanks Trump at signing ceremony for Thailand-Cambodia peace deal
Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim paid tribute to US President Trump’s efforts in pushing for the deal and ending hostilities at the border between Thailand and Cambodia.
“We, of course, admire your tenacity, your courage, because the world needs leaders who promote peace strongly,” said Mr Anwar at a signing ceremony in Kuala Lumpur on the sidelines of the ASEAN summit.
“We share a lot of things in common. I was in prison, but he almost got there,” joked Mr Anwar on President Trump.
