पश्चिम बंगाल की 152 और तमिलनाडु की 234 विधानसभा सीटों पर आज वोटिंग हो रही है। बंगाल में दो चरण में विधानसभा चुनाव होने हैं जिसमें आज यानी 23 अप्रैल को पहले चरण की वोटिंग हो रही है। पहले चरण में 152 सीटों पर मतदान हो रहा है। वहीं, तमिलनाडु की बात करें तो यहां सभी सीटों पर एक चरण में ही वोटिंग हो रही है। बीजेपी इन दोनों ही राज्यों में सत्ता में आने के लिए पूरा दमखम लगा रही है। वहीं, पश्चिम बंगाल में ममता बनर्जी की टीएमसी के लिए सत्ता बचाए रखना बड़ी चुनौती है। तमिलनाडु में एमके स्टालिन के लिए भी एक बार फिर सरकार में आना आसान नहीं होगा।
The polling for the high-stake assembly elections in West Bengal that will decide the fate of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and her government is being held here on Thursday (April 23). The polling in the state is being held in two phases, with 152 assembly constituencies — including all 54 in north Bengal’s eight districts and several in Murshidabad, Nadia, Birbhum and Hooghly — going to vote in the phase one on Thursday.
