तुर्की में सोमवार देर रातजोरदार भूकंप आया है. आपदा एवं आपातकालीन प्रबंधन एजेंसी (AFAD) के अनुसार, 6.1 तीव्रता का यह भूकंप बालिकेसिर प्रांत के सिंदिरगी शहर में केंद्रित था. इस भूकंप से कुछ इमारतों को नुकसान पहुंचने की खबर भी है. लेकिन किसी के हताहत होने की तत्काल कोई सूचना नहीं है. यह भूकंप स्थानीय समयानुसार रात 11:48 बजे (1948 GMT) 5.99 किलोमीटर (3.72 मील) की गहराई पर आया है. हैबरतुर्क समाचार चैनल के अनुसार, भूकंप का असर इस्तांबुल और आसपास के बर्सा, मनीसा और इज़मिर प्रांतों में भी महसूस किया गया. निजी एनटीवी और अन्य चैनलों ने सिंदिरगी में इमारतों के क्षतिग्रस्त होने की सूचना दी.

A strong earthquake struck Turkey late Monday night. According to the Disaster and Emergency Management Agency (AFAD), the 6.1 magnitude earthquake was centered in the town of Sındırgı in Balıkesir province. Some buildings were reportedly damaged, but there were no immediate reports of casualties. The earthquake occurred at 11:48 PM local time (1948 GMT) at a depth of 5.99 kilometers (3.72 miles). According to Habertürk news channel, the tremor was also felt in Istanbul and the surrounding provinces of Bursa, Manisa, and Izmir. Private broadcaster NTV and other channels reported damage to buildings in Sındırgı.
