पिछले 15 दिनों से उत्तर प्रदेश के अलग-अलग ज़िलों में आई लव मोहम्मद को लेकर हंगामा छिड़ा हुआ है, लेकिन आज बरेली में प्रदर्शन की आड़ में कट्टरपंथियों ने सभी सीमाओं को लांघ दिया…ज़ुमे की नमाज़ के बाद बिना इजाज़त प्रदर्शन करने से रोके जाने पर पुलिसवालों पर पत्थरबाज़ी हुई…इसके बाद हिंसक भीड़ ने पुलिसकर्मियों पर फायरिंग भी की इस पत्थरबाज़ी और फायरिंग में 10 से ज़्यादा पुलिसकर्मी घायल हो गए. इस हिंसा के बाद पुलिसवालों के सब्र का बांध टूट गया…पुलिस ने हालात पर काबू पाने के लिए लाठीचार्ज शुरू कर दिया…हिंसक भीड़ को दौड़ा-दौड़ाकर पीटा…जो लोग कुछ समय पहले तक पुलिस पर पत्थर फेंक रहे थे, वो पुलिस की लाठी से बचने के लिए गलियों में भागते नज़र आए.

But today in Bareilly, under the guise of a protest, extremists crossed all boundaries. After Friday prayers, when police prevented them from holding an unauthorized demonstration, the protesters pelted the police with stones. The violent mob then opened fire on the police. In this stone-throwing and firing incident, more than 10 policemen were injured. After this violence, the police lost their patience. They began to use batons to control the situation, chasing and beating the violent mob. Those who were just moments before throwing stones at the police were now seen running down the streets to escape the police batons.
