भारत ने पाकिस्तान को फाइनल में धूल चटाते हुए 9वीं बार एशिया कप की ट्रॉफी का खिताब अपने नाम कर लिया… एशिया कप के इतिहास में भारत और पाकिस्तान की ये पहली भिड़ंत थी और पहली ही बार में भारत ने पाकिस्तान को करारी मात दी. यहीं नहीं बल्कि इस दौरान पाकिस्तान को भारतीय टीम ने खूब बेइज्जत भी किया.. ना तो भारतीय टीम ने पाकिस्तान के खिलाड़ियों से हाथ मिलाया और ना ही उनसे कोई बात की..और जब PCB के चेयरमैन मोहसिन नकवी…. विजेता टीम को अवॉर्ड देने पहुंचे, तो भारतीय टीम ने उनके हाथ से ट्रॉफी लेने से मना कर दिया.. इस करारी बेइज्जती के बाद मोहसिन नकवी ट्रॉफी लेकर भाग गया.. हद तो तब पार हो गई कि इतनी बड़ी किरकिरी के बाद भी पाकिस्तानी टीम की अकड़ नहीं निकली..पाकिस्तान के कप्तान सलमान अली आगा ने ऐसी बदतमीजी की अब दुनिया में पाकिस्तान की थू-थू हो रही है… हार के बाद पाकिस्तानी इतनी नीचता पर उतर आए कि किसी ने सोचा भी नहीं था..ऐसी ही नीच हरकत पाकिस्तान के कप्तान सलमान आगा ने भी की.. जब उसे रनर अप के लिए प्राइज मनी चेक लेने के लिए बुलाया गया तो उसने चेक लेकर उसे स्टेज के नीचे ही फेंक दिया.
