GST Reforms : किसानों को बड़ी राहत, Tractor और Machines पर सिर्फ 5% GST! Zee Business
The GST Council has announced a major relief for farmers in its latest meeting. Several essential agricultural items and machinery will now attract only 5% GST. Earlier, tractor tyres and parts were taxed at 18%, but now the rate has been reduced to just 5%, lowering maintenance costs for farmers.
Similarly, tractors, bio-pesticides, and micro-nutrients that previously attracted 12% GST will now also fall under the 5% slab. This will make fertilizers, nutrients, and crop protection more affordable for farmers.
Drip irrigation systems and sprinklers, crucial for modern farming and water conservation, will also have just 5% GST. Machines used in soil preparation, cultivation, and harvesting will now be cheaper as well.
