Following the defeat of the Women’s Reservation Amendment Bill in the Lok Sabha, the NDA is now poised to take to the streets; they plan to visit the constituencies of opposing MPs to stage protests. Female MPs from the NDA raised slogans against the Opposition outside the House. In Lucknow, Aparna Yadav burned the flags of the Samajwadi Party (SP) and the Congress.

Home Minister Amit Shah expressed regret over the failure of the Women’s Reservation Bill in the Lok Sabha, asking how long the Congress and its allies would continue to betray women. Rajnath Singh termed the ‘INDIA’ alliance as anti-women, stating that the Opposition had sacrificed the dignity of women for the sake of narrow political interests.

DMK workers celebrated the defeat of the Women’s Reservation Bill in the Lok Sabha. Priyanka Gandhi hailed the government’s defeat as a victory for democracy. Rahul Gandhi asserted that the government lacked the genuine intent to provide reservation to women, while Iqra Hasan dismissed the protests by NDA women MPs as mere theatrics.

A political face-off between PM Modi and Rahul Gandhi is set to unfold today on the campaign trail in Tamil Nadu. PM Modi will address a public rally in the Coimbatore district to seek votes for AIADMK and BJP candidates, while Rahul Gandhi will campaign in Ponneri, Ranipet, and Thuraiyur, seeking votes for the Congress-DMK alliance.
