Will fresh US-Iran talks take place as ceasefire frays?
Tehran is not currently planning to take part in new talks with the United States, Iranian state media reported on Sunday (Apr 20), as its military accused Washington of violating a fragile truce between the two countries that is due to expire on Wednesday. Peter Layton, visiting fellow at Griffith Asia Institute, tells CNA’s Asia First that if talks do resume, the Iranian delegation is likely to approach them differently from the first round.
