West Indies Championship: Jangoo’s Unbeaten 133 Puts Red Force In Command
Trinidad and Tobago Red Force are in the driver’s seat in Round 1 of the West Indies Championship, with Amir Jangoo leading the way with an unbeaten 133 against the Leeward Islands Hurricanes.
Sent in to bat at the Coolidge Cricket Ground in Antigua, the Hurricanes were dismissed for 138, Jahmar Hamilton top-scoring with 44, as Red Force spinners Bryan Charles and Khary Pierre claimed 3/9 and 3/34, respectively.
In reply, Jangoo’s patient 133 not out off 209 deliveries, his second first-class century, has T&T well on top. Terrence Hinds is alongside him on 55 not out, with captain Joshua Da Silva earlier contributing 62.
Bowling for the Hurricanes, Oshane Thomas finished with figures of 3/82.
The Red Force closed Day 2 on 380/5, a lead of 242 runs.
