War on Iran: Prof Mohsen Milani on escalating standoff, fragile ceasefire
The US has opened fire at and seized an Iranian cargo ship that tried to get around a naval blockade near the Strait of Hormuz. Tensions at sea have sparked concerns of a collapse of the US-Iran ceasefire, which ends in two days. Professor Mohsen Milani, executive director at the University of South Florida’s Center for Strategic and Diplomatic Studies, shared more about the escalating standoff and fragile ceasefire. Prof Milani is also the author of a new book, Iran’s Rise and Rivalry with the US in the Middle East.
