Families of victims are alleging negligence and insensitivity, claiming no company official has visited them despite living just 15 kilometres from the site.

In Jamkahan village, the family of a deceased worker says they were called nearly 80 kilometres away to Korba only to receive a compensation cheque, instead of being visited or supported. They have also raised serious questions about the circumstances leading to his death.

With anger mounting on the ground and demands growing to shut down the plant, the focus is now firmly on safety standards and management accountability, as pressure builds for a thorough investigation.
