US microbiologist Joan Rose wins Lee Kuan Yew Water Prize for work on water safety standards
An American biologist whose work has helped develop global water safety assessment standards has won this year’s Lee Kuan Yew Water Prize. Professor Joan Bray Rose was also pivotal in helping Singapore establish NEWater as a key water management strategy. She was honoured for her role in producing the world’s first science-backed framework to identify and measure microbial risks in drinking water.
