TTMA Mourns Passing Of Former President Wayne Yip Choy
The Trinidad and Tobago Manufacturers’ Association is mourning the passing of one of its former Presidents, businessman Wayne Yip Choy.
A media statement from the TTMA expressed the organisation’s “profound sorrow” at Mr. Yip Choy’s passing on Monday.
Described as a respected leader, the TTMA said that Mr. Yip Choy advocated for the local manufacturing sector, having contributed significantly to the growth of the industry through his leadership, insight and commitment to excellence.
Beginning his career in 1976 as Managing Director of Sweetheart Cakes Ltd, later renamed Kiss Baking Company Ltd, Mr. Yip Choy also formally held the role of Chief Executive Officer of Angostura Holdings and Managing Director of Caribbean Development Company.
