Trump Gets Brutally Schooled As Africa’s Largest Democracy Rips Into US’ Plan To Strike Nigeria
Nigeria’s Minister of Information Mohammed Idris Malagi urged the United States to approach Nigeria’s internal issues with “an understanding of its complex realities,” during a press conference in Abuja on Wednesday.
Malagi emphasized that Nigeria is a vast, multi-ethnic and multi-religious nation making “significant strides” in economic and security reforms, while addressing U.S. concerns over violence targeting religious minorities.
The remarks come days after U.S. President Donald Trump threatened to intervene in Nigeria over what he called “record numbers of Christians” being killed — a claim tied to ongoing accusations that Boko Haram is targeting Christian communities.
