TRUMP CANCELS ENVOYS’ VISIT, STALLING U.S.–IRAN NEGOTIATIONS
Hopes of a breakthrough in U.S.–Iran talks to end the Gulf war have been dealt a blow after President Donald Trump canceled a planned visit to Islamabad by his envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner. Trump made the announcement after Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi left the Pakistani capital before talks were due to begin.

Explosions were seen in southern Lebanon along its border with Israel on Saturday – that’s despite an extension of a ceasefire agreement between the two countries. President Donald Trump announced the three-week extension of the ceasefire on Thursday after hosting Israeli and Lebanese ambassadors at the White House.
