Sheinelle Jones has always admired single mothers, and said she got emotional while recording the audiobook for her new book, “Through Mom’s Eyes,” which featured many conversations with single mothers. Sheinelle shared on the Open Book podcast that she was particularly inspired by Wanda Durant, Kevin Durant’s mother. “Her words spoke to me differently … I saw her, and I thought, “God, OK, if she can do it, and she can be strong, and be advocates for her kids, and multiple kids, so can I.”
