South Africa stages 2,500 person braai
Hundreds of South Africans fired up their grills for Heritage Day, and a shot at a world record, on September 24. At Pretoria’s Loftus Versfeld Stadium, about 2,500 people gathered for what organizers hoped would be the largest braai ever recorded, with participants grilling simultaneously to beat the Guinness World Record for most people braaiing at once.
