Singapore to train 10,000 nurses in palliative care by 2030
Singapore aims to train 10,000 nurses in general palliative care competencies by 2030. The move will equip more than a fifth of the country’s nursing workforce with skills to support patients’ physical, emotional and spiritual needs. Health Minister Ong Ye Kung says broader training across healthcare roles will improve continuity of care. While more patients are receiving palliative support, many still die in hospitals.
