प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने गुरुवार को महिला महिला आरक्षण बिल को लेकर लोकसभा को संबोधित किया। महिला आरक्षण पर पीएम मोदी ने कहा कि आवश्यकता तो ये थी कि 25—30 साल पहले, जब ये विचार सामने आया तभी इसे लागू कर देते। आज हम इसे काफी परिपक्वता तक पहुंचा देते। आवश्यकतानुसार उसमें समय समय पर सुधार होते और यही तो लोकतंत्र की खूबसूरती होती है। पीएम मोदी ने कहा कि मैं चाहता हूं कि ये बिल सर्वसम्मित से पास हो।
Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the Lok Sabha on Thursday regarding the Women’s Reservation Bill. Speaking on the issue of women’s reservation, PM Modi stated that ideally, this measure should have been implemented 25 to 30 years ago—the very moment the idea was first mooted. Had that happened, we would have brought it to a stage of considerable maturity by now. Necessary amendments would have been introduced periodically as required, and therein lies the true beauty of democracy. PM Modi expressed his desire that this bill be passed unanimously.
