असम मुख्यमंत्री हिमंता विस्वा सरमा की पत्नी रिनीकी भुइया पर फर्जी पासपोर्ट रखने का आरोप लगाने वाले कांग्रेस नेता पवन खेड़ा की मुश्किलें कम होती नहीं दिख रही है… कांग्रेस नेता पवन खेड़ा की अग्रिम जमानत याचिका पर गुवाहाटी हाई कोर्ट आज फैसला सुना सकता है…. इससे पहले मंगलवार को कोर्ट ने इस मामले में फैसला सुरक्षित रख लिया था…. यह मामला असम पुलिस ने दर्ज किया था…. सुनवाई के दौरान दोनों पक्षों में तीखी बहस हुई…. कांग्रेस नेता पवन खेड़ा की तरफ से पेश हुए वरिष्ठ वकील अभिषेक मनु सिंघवी ने वकील कमल नारायण चौधरी के साथ मिलकर दलील दी कि आरोपों में कोई ठोस आधार नहीं है और इनका मकसद एक राजनीतिक विरोधी की आवाज दबाना है…. वहीं असम पुलिस की तरफ से पेश हुए असम के एडवोकेट जनरल देवजीत लोन सैकिया ने कहा कि खेड़ा गंभीर अपराधों में शामिल हैं…. जिनमें जालसाजी और धोखाधड़ी शामिल है…. पुलिस की जांच में पहली नजर में ऐसे सबूत मिले हैं जो जानबूझकर की गई गलत हरकतों की ओर इशारा करते हैं…. वहीं दूसरी तरफ विदेश मंत्रालय के सूत्रों की मानें तो पवन खेड़ा द्वारा दिखाए गए तीनों पासपोर्ट फर्जी पाए गए हैं…. MEA के मुताबिक रिनीकी भुइया शरमा के पास किसी अन्य देश की नागरिकता नहीं है….

The troubles facing Congress leader Pawan Khera—who accused Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma’s wife, Riniki Bhuyan, of possessing a fake passport—show no signs of abating. The Guwahati High Court is expected to deliver its verdict today on Congress leader Pawan Khera’s anticipatory bail plea. Earlier, on Tuesday, the court had reserved its judgment in this matter. The case was registered by the Assam Police. A heated exchange of arguments took place between the two sides during the hearing. Senior Advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi, appearing on behalf of Congress leader Pawan Khera alongside Advocate Kamal Narayan Choudhary, argued that the allegations lack any concrete basis and are intended to stifle the voice of a political opponent. Conversely, Assam Advocate General Devajit Lon Saikia, representing the Assam Police, asserted that Khera is implicated in serious offenses, including forgery and fraud. The police investigation has, *prima facie*, uncovered evidence pointing to deliberate misconduct. Meanwhile, according to sources within the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), all three passports produced by Pawan Khera have been found to be fake. Furthermore, according to the MEA, Riniki Bhuyan Sarma does not hold citizenship of any other country.
