The Modi government is set to present its biggest gift today to half of the country’s population. The government is scheduled to introduce three key bills in the Lok Sabha today; these include the Women’s Reservation Amendment Bill, 2026; the Delimitation Bill, 2026; and the Union Territories Amendment Bill, 2026. The objective of these bills is to fully operationalize the Women’s Reservation Act passed in 2023. All three bills will be introduced in the Lok Sabha today. Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal will introduce the first two bills, while Union Home Minister Amit Shah will introduce the third bill.
