लोकसभा में महिला आरक्षण से जुड़े तीन बिल पेश हो चुके हैं. इस पर वोटिंग होनी है, विपक्ष पशोपेश में है. महिला आरक्षण का विरोध विपक्ष नहीं कर रहा लेकिन सरकार पर डिलिमिटेशन की साजिश का आरोप वो जरूर लगा रहे हैं. सबके अपने तर्क हैं. सबका अपना हित है.

“Half the population, full rights”—until now, these sentiments were heard only in political rhetoric; however, the Indian Parliament now stands on the verge of scripting a new chapter in history. Three bills pertaining to women’s reservation have been introduced in the Lok Sabha.

A vote on these bills is pending, and the Opposition finds itself in a state of dilemma. While the Opposition is not opposing women’s reservation itself, they are certainly accusing the government of hatching a conspiracy regarding the delimitation process. Everyone has their own arguments; everyone has their own vested interests.
