Most employers in Singapore facing higher operating costs amid rising energy prices: SNEF poll
According to a Singapore National Employers Federation survey, as many as 96% of employers say they are facing higher operating costs, amid rising energy prices. The poll is based on responses from 210 companies across the manufacturing, services and construction sectors. The key components of higher operating costs are utilities and fuel at 70%, while materials and supplies, as well as air and sea freight account for more than 50%. More than half the firms surveyed are also concerned with rising manpower costs pressures.
