Manitoba First Nations leaders reject RCMP statement on spying program
First Nations leaders in Manitoba are demanding action from the federal government over the RCMP’s historic program targeting what it called ‘Native extremism,’ which spied on Indigenous activists from the 1960s into the 1980s. Leaders also rejected the RCMP commissioner’s statement on the program, which contained no apology.
