Live: Tensions linger over Strait of Hormuz as US-Iran talks stall
Iran said on Saturday the Strait of Hormuz will remain under strict control until the United States lifts what it calls a “blockade” on Iranian ports, describing the move as a breach of the ceasefire. Tehran added it is “currently reviewing” new proposals put forward by Washington. Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump said “very good conversations” are ongoing with Iran, but stressed he would not allow Tehran to “blackmail” the United States over the Strait of Hormuz.
