Israelis Start ‘War’ In West Bank, Just A Day After Peace In Gaza?| Trump| Netanyahu| Hamas
As the Trump-brokered peace deal comes into effect in Gaza, violence erupted in the West Bank on the very day of the signing of agreement, as Israeli settler attacks jolted multiple Palestinian villages. In Yabrud, east of Ramallah, settlers reportedly burnt and vandalized vehicles and attempted to set a home on fire, which residents managed to save. Another attack in Beit Fajjar left five Palestinians wounded, with no arrests reported so far. Palestinian media note that such attacks have become a near-daily occurrence, coinciding with rising reports of suspected terror incidents across the West Bank. The unrest unfolded as all Israeli hostages were released from Hamas captivity after two years, and Israel freed nearly 2,000 Palestinian prisoners in return. The exchange coincided with a global summit in Egypt, chaired by Trump and the Egyptian president, where major world leaders gathered to support the peace initiative.
