सीतापुर की जेल से सपा नेता आजम खान रिहा. 23 महीने बाद रिहाई हुई. दोनों बेटे लेने पहुंचे. जेल के बाहर समर्थकों की भारी भीड़.जेल से निकलने के बाद आजम ने हाथ हिलाकर समर्थकों का अभिवादन स्वीकार किया. गाड़ी से रवाना होने की तस्वीरें सामने आईं.बसपा में शामिल होने की अटकलों पर आज़म ख़ान ने तोड़ी चु्प्पी, कहा-ये सिर्फ़ अटकलें लगाने वाले ही बता सकते हैं. पिछले पांच साल से मैं किसी के संपर्क में नहीं.आजम खान की रिहाई पर अखिलेश यादव बोले- समाजवादियों के लिए ये खुशी का पल. हमें पूरी उम्मीद थी कि आजम खान को न्याय मिलेगा.आजम खान की रिहाई पर शिवपाल यादव बोले- उन्हें गलत केस में फंसाया गया था. कोर्ट ने उन्हें राहत दी.

Addressing speculations about joining the BSP, Azam Khan said, “Only those who make such speculations can answer that. I haven’t been in contact with anyone for the past five years.” Akhilesh Yadav, on Azam Khan’s release, said, “This is a moment of joy for Samajwadi Party members. We were fully confident that Azam Khan would get justice.” Shivpal Yadav, also commenting on Azam Khan’s release, said, “He was framed in a false case. The court has granted him relief.”
