Hindustan Times Iran Rules Out Direct US Talks as Araqchi Meets Pakistan FM in Islamabad | #shorts

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi arrived in Rawalpindi, Pakistan, late on Friday (April 24) to discuss proposals for restarting peace talks with the U.S., offering some hope for an end to the eight-week war that has killed thousands and sown turmoil in global markets.

Photos released via Araqchi’s Telegram channel on Saturday (April 25) showed him greeting his Pakistani counterpart Ishaq Dar upon touching down at Nur Khan Airbase. The photos also showed Araqchi, Dar and Pakistani army chief, General Asim Munir, holding talks in a meeting room, in what was said to be in Islamabad.

Reuters could not confirm the date of the photos. Reuters was able to confirm the location as images matched footage from the Nur Khan airbase in Rawalpindi. No older versions of the photo were found posted before April 25.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi met Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar at the Serena Hotel, where the first round of talks with the U.S. was held, two government sources said.
