हिमांत विस्व सरमा कैंपन के लिए बंगाल में थे. कूचबिहार रैली में हिमंता ने बांगालदेशी घुसपैठियों का मुद्दा उठाया. हिमंता ने कहा कि उन्होंने असम में बांग्लादेशी घुसपैठियों की जीना मुहाल कर दिया है और ममता ने बंगाल को घुसपैठियों का स्वर्ग बनाया है इसीलिए ममता असम के लोगों से चिढ़ती हैं. हिमंता ने कहा कि बंगाल में अगर हिनंदुओं को चैन से रहना है तो ममता को सत्ता से हटाना जरूरी है.

Himanta stated that he has made life miserable for Bangladeshi infiltrators in Assam, whereas Mamata has turned Bengal into a haven for them—which is precisely why she resents the people of Assam. Himanta asserted that if Hindus in Bengal wish to live in peace, it is imperative to remove Mamata from power.
