गुजरात स्थानीय निकाय चुनावों में बीजेपी ने रिकॉर्ड तोड़ प्रदर्शन करते हुए 700 से अधिक सीटों पर निर्विरोध जीत हासिल की है…जो 2021 के 220 सीटों की तुलना में बहुत अधिक है…उधर विपक्ष ने बीजेपी और पुलिस पर उम्मीदवारों को डराने-धमकाने और फॉर्म वापस लेने के लिए मजबूर करने के आरोप लगाए हैं…उनका कहना है कि इस कारण उन्हें अपने उम्मीदवारों को अज्ञात जगह पर छिपाना पड़ा…कांग्रेस ने इस मामले को लेकर राज्य चुनाव आयोग से शिकायत भी की है…उधर बीजेपी ने विपक्ष के आरोपों को खारिज करते हुए इसे उनकी कमजोरी और जनता के बीच घटते आधार का परिणाम बताया है…बता दें कि गुजरात में 15 नगर निगमों के साथ कुल 393 स्थानीय निकायों के चुनाव को 2027 का सेमीफाइनल माना जा रहा है…बुधवार को नामांकन वापस लेने की समय-सीमा खत्म होने के साथ ही बीजेपी ने 700 से अधिक सीटें जीत ली हैं.
In the Gujarat local body elections, the BJP has delivered a record-breaking performance, securing unopposed victories in over 700 seats—a figure significantly higher than the 220 seats won in 2021. Meanwhile, the opposition has leveled allegations against the BJP and the police, accusing them of intimidating candidates and coercing them into withdrawing their nomination forms. They claim that, as a result, they were compelled to hide their candidates at undisclosed locations. The Congress party has also lodged a complaint with the State Election Commission regarding this matter. Conversely, the BJP has dismissed the opposition’s allegations, attributing the outcome to the opposition’s own weakness and their diminishing support base among the public. It is worth noting that the elections for a total of 393 local bodies in Gujarat—including 15 municipal corporations—are being viewed as a “semifinal” ahead of the 2027 elections. With the deadline for the withdrawal of nominations expiring on Wednesday, the BJP has already secured victory in over 700 seats.
