UN chief says world should not be ‘intimidated’ by Israel in its moves to annex West Bank
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Friday said the world should not be “intimidated” by Israel as it continues its offensive in Gaza, adding that the international community should try to “put pressure” on Israel to keep it from annexing the West Bank. Guterres spoke ahead of next week’s UN meetings at which 10 countries will recognise a Palestinian state, according to France. France24 correspondent Noga Tarnopolsky reports from Jerusalem.
