No doubt IS group ‘will rise again’ if US forces withdraw from Iraq, Barzani says • FRANCE 24
In an interview with FRANCE 24, the head of Iraq’s Kurdistan Democratic Party, Massoud Barzani, warned that the planned withdrawal of US-led coalition forces from Iraq would lead to a resurgence of the Islamic State (IS) group. Barzani also addressed violence against religious minorities in Syria, as well as the disarmament announced by the PKK in Turkey.
