United, Delta cancel flights as nation braces for FAA cuts
United Airlines will preemptively cancel about 200 flights starting Friday, the airline tells CNN. That’s roughly 4% of United’s Friday schedule and is comprised of mostly regional flights. United says it will cancel about 4% again on Saturday and Sunday. The announcement from United came as the Trump administration is considering a 4% reduction in flights starting tomorrow, an airline official familiar with the proposal told CNN. The proposal is preliminary and nothing is final, a separate source said.
