CNA Private groups bridge support gap to help Filipino transport workers

Jeepney and other public transport drivers in the Philippines have been hit hard by the global oil crisis caused by war in the Middle East. Government assistance is seen as falling short of what’s needed. Private individuals, groups and businesses are stepping up to fill in the gaps. But as Jacob Lazaro reports from Manila, more sustainable efforts are needed to address systemic issues of poverty and food insecurity.
