CNA Fireworks disrupt rally against MACC chief Azam Baki in KL, Malaysia

Fireworks at a protest sparked moments of panic in downtown Kuala Lumpur on Saturday (Apr 25), forcing back many including the CNA camera crew. Hundreds gathered to call for the arrest of outgoing Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chief Azam Baki, who has faced allegations that he improperly held shares in a public-listed company. The “Tangkap Azam Baki” rally took place on Saturday afternoon despite the announcement of a new commissioner of MACC, former High Court judge Abdul Halim Aman in the morning.
