Bloomberg defamation trial: Journalist pressed on use of ‘shrouded’, ‘secrecy’ in article
On the fifth day of the Bloomberg defamation trial, Bloomberg journalist Low De Wei was pressed on his intention behind using words such as “shrouded”, “secrecy” and “cloaking” in his article. The plaintiffs’ lawyer argued that property transactions are accessible to the public. Mr Low and the financial news outlet are being sued by ministers K Shanmugam and Tan See Leng over a 2024 report on high-end property deals.
