राज्यसभा में AAP के 2/3 सांसदों के भाजपा में शामिल होने की घोषणा पर पंजाब के मुख्यमंत्री भगवंत मान ने प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस की। उन्होंने कहा, “भाजपा ने पंजाब को धोखा दिया है। शरद पवार, शिवसेना (UBT), कांग्रेस की पार्टी के लिए भी यही वॉशिंग मशीन इस्तेमाल होती थी। भाजपा का पंजाब में कोई बेस नहीं है।” भगवंत मान ने कहा, “जो सात सांसद भाजपा में शामिल हो रहे हैं, वे पंजाब को रिप्रेजेंट नहीं करते, वे देशद्रोही हैं। उन्हें भाजपा में भी कुछ नहीं मिलेगा।”

Reacting to this rift within the party, AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh stated that the Bharatiya Janata Party’s “Operation Lotus” has commenced in Punjab. He asserted that Punjab will not forgive the rebel AAP MPs. Singh alleged that the Aam Aadmi Party’s MPs have been poached. Sanjay Singh’s reaction came after Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha held a press conference to announce his departure from the Aam Aadmi Party.
