23 अप्रैल को वोट डाले जाने हैं परसों फर्स्ट फेज में नॉर्थ बंगाल के कूच बिहार, अलीपुर दुआर, जलपाईगुड़ी, कलिम्पोंग, दार्जिलिंग नॉर्थ और साउथ दिनाजपुर के अलावा मालदा में भी वोट डाले जाएंगे इस इलाके में तृणमूल कांग्रेस का भी प्रदर्शन अच्छा रहा था पिछले इलैक्शन में ममचता बनर्जी की पार्टी ने कुल 215 सीटें जीती थीं इनमें से 92 सीटें इसी इलाके में थी इस बार जिन 152 सीटों पर पहले दौर में मतदान होना है उनमें आदिवासियों के लिए रिज़र्व 15 सीटों भी हैं पिछली बार इन 15 सीटों में से TMC ने 8 और BJP ने 7 सीटें जीती थीं इंटेरेस्टिंग बात ये है कि SC ST के लिए रिज़र्व 35 सीटों में से बीजेपी ने 22 और TMC ने सिर्फ़ 13 सीट्स पर जीत हासिल की थी पहले फेज़ की 152 में से 32 सीटें ऐसी थीं !
Voting is scheduled to take place on April 23—the day after tomorrow—as part of the first phase. Votes will be cast across North Bengal in Cooch Behar, Alipurduar, Jalpaiguri, Kalimpong, Darjeeling, North and South Dinajpur, as well as Malda. The Trinamool Congress also performed well in this region during the previous election; Mamata Banerjee’s party won a total of 215 seats, 92 of which were located in this very region. This time, among the 152 seats going to the polls in the first phase, there are 15 seats reserved for tribal communities. In the last election, the TMC won 8 of these 15 seats, while the BJP secured 7. An interesting point is that out of the 35 seats reserved for SC/ST communities, the BJP won 22, whereas the TMC managed to win only 13—32 of these seats were among the 152 contested in the first phase!
