बंगाल में पहली बार सत्ता का नया केंद्र हिंदू बन रहा है. बंगाल में वोटिंग हाई होती थी. लेकिन 92 फीसद वोटिंग ने इतिहास रचा है. 92 फीसद वोटिंग कूचबिहार, दक्षिण दिनाजपुर, जलपाईगुड़ी, झारग्राम, पश्चिम मेदिनीपुर में हुई. ये सारी हिंदू सीट हैं. यहां पर हिंदू आबादी 80 फीसद से ज्यादा है. सुबह से ही हिंदू लाइन में लग गया था. शाम तक समझ में आ जाता है, हिंदू वोट इस बार किसी सरकार बना रहा है.

For the first time in Bengal, a new center of power—the Hindu community—is emerging. While voter turnout in Bengal has historically been high, a turnout of 92 percent has truly made history. This 92 percent voting figure was recorded in Cooch Behar, South Dinajpur, Jalpaiguri, Jhargram, and West Medinipur—all of which are Hindu-majority constituencies, where the Hindu population exceeds 80 percent. Hindus had begun queuing up as early as the morning; by evening, it became evident that the Hindu vote is, this time around, instrumental in forming the government.
