बंगाल में पहले चरण में रिकॉर्ड वोटिंग हुई. पहले चरण में शाम पांच बजे तक 90 फीसदी मतदान हुआ. वहीं दक्षिण दिनाजपुर में सबसे ज्यादा 93.12 फीसदी लोगों ने वोट डाले गए. दूसरे फेज के लिए भी बीजेपी पूरी ताकत के साथ प्रचार कर ही है. गृहमंत्री अमित शाह ने हुगली में चुनावी रैली की और ममता सरकार पर जमकर बरसे अमित शाह ने कहा कि ममता सरकार घुसपैठियों बचाती है, बीजेपी सरकार बनने के बाद हम एक-एक घुसपैठियों को बंगाल के बाहर करेंगे.
Bengal witnessed record-breaking voter turnout during the first phase of the elections. By 5:00 PM on the day of the first phase, 90 percent of the electorate had cast their votes. Notably, South Dinajpur recorded the highest turnout, with 93.12 percent of voters exercising their franchise. The BJP is campaigning with full force for the second phase as well. Home Minister Amit Shah held an election rally in Hooghly, where he launched a scathing attack on the Mamata government. Amit Shah alleged that the Mamata administration shields infiltrators, vowing that once the BJP forms the government, they will expel every single infiltrator from Bengal.
