Gujarat Celebrates Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh: Tribute to Tribal Pride and Heritage
Gujarat is observing Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, marking the 150th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, a symbol of tribal pride and freedom.
The Janjatiya Gaurav Yatra, launched from Ambaji on November 7, is traversing 14 tribal districts from Ambaji and Umargam to Ekta Nagar. Complementing the Yatra are health camps, Seva Setu programs, and sanitation drives, echoing the spirit of “Vikas Bhi, Virasat Bhi.”
Beyond the tribal regions, the Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh celebrations will extend to 20 non-tribal districts from November 13 to 15, ensuring statewide participation.
The celebrations will culminate on November 15, Janjatiya Gaurav Divas, at Dediapada, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lead the national-level event.
