First-ever Khelo India Water Sports Festival kicks off at Dal Lake to promote adventure tourism
First-ever Khelo India Water Sports Festival was organised by J&K Sports Council with Sports Authority of India at Dal Lake. It was aimed to boost adventure sports and adventure tourism in the valley. Players from over 800 athletes across 23 states participated with full of spirit aimed to show better performances. Notably, almost eight hundred players participate in the festival but only eight teams will get chances to reach final. Such types of events play a vital role in promoting adventure sports as well as adventure tourism at large scale.
