Lebanon begins disarming Palestinian groups in refugee camps
Lebanon has begun disarming Palestinian factions in refugee camps.
The decision was taken in a meeting between Lebanon’s President Joseph Aoun and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas while he was in Beirut in May.
It marks the most serious effort yet, to curb the presence of arms outside the state’s control.
