US attacks and seizes Iranian cargo ship trying to pass Hormuz blockade
Tehran has accused Washington of “armed piracy” and breaching a ceasefire, after US forces opened fire at and seized an Iranian cargo ship that tried to get around a naval blockade near the Strait of Hormuz. An Iranian foreign ministry spokesperson said the US is not showing seriousness in ending the war. US negotiators will head to Pakistan today to continue negotiations. Tehran said it has no plans to attend the talks, but Pakistani officials said an Iranian delegation is expected in Islamabad tomorrow.
