CNA Ferry from Batam to Singapore collides with chemical tanker

A ferry carrying 165 passengers collided with a chemical tanker near Singapore on Monday (Nov 10). The MV Horizon 9 was en route from Batam when it struck the LA Digue, a Marshall Islands-flagged chemical tanker, at around 7.30pm, according to Indonesian authorities.

Although the ferry’s bow was damaged, no injuries were reported and all passengers and crew were safely evacuated to Singapore’s HarbourFront terminal. #singapore #sgnews
