दिल्ली सरकार ने यमुना के जलस्तर में खतरनाक वृद्धि को देखते हुए अधिकारियों को मंगलवार से दिल्ली रेलवे ब्रिज पर यातायात और आम जनता की आवाजाही स्थगित करने का निर्देश दिया है. जिला मजिस्ट्रेट (डीएम) ने मंडल रेल प्रबंधक (डीआरएम) को एक आधिकारिक पत्र लिखा है. इस पत्र में उन्होंने केंद्रीय जल आयोग (सीडब्ल्यूसी) द्वारा दिए गए जरूरी निर्देशों के बारे में बताया है. परामर्श के अनुसार, ऊपरी यमुना जलग्रहण क्षेत्र में भारी बारिश और हथिनी कुंड बैराज से भारी मात्रा में पानी छोड़े जाने के कारण राष्ट्रीय राजधानी में बाढ़ की आशंका बढ़ गई है.

In view of the dangerous rise in the water level of Yamuna, the Delhi government has directed the officials to suspend traffic and movement of the general public on the Delhi Railway Bridge from Tuesday. The District Magistrate (DM) has written an official letter to the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM). In this letter, he has told about the necessary instructions given by the Central Water Commission (CWC). According to the consultation, the possibility of flood in the national capital has increased due to heavy rains in the upper Yamuna catchment area and the release of large amounts of water from Hathini Kund Barrage.
