देवरिया के बरहज में कार्तिक पूर्णिमा पर सरयू नदी में श्रद्धालुओं से भरी नाव पलटने से बड़ा हादसा टल गया। नाव में 13 लोग सवार थे, जो असंतुलित होने से पलटी। गनीमत रही कि पानी कम होने से सभी को सुरक्षित बचा लिया गया। श्रद्धालुओं के सामान पानी में डूब गए। लोगों ने सुरक्षा व्यवस्था में कमी को लेकर प्रशासन पर नाराजगी जताई।

A major accident was averted in Barhaj, Deoria, when a boat carrying devotees capsized in the Saryu River during Kartik Purnima. Thirteen people were on board the boat, which overturned due to being unbalanced. Fortunately, because the water level was low, everyone was rescued safely. The devotees’ belongings, however, were lost in the water. People expressed their anger at the administration for the lack of safety arrangements.
